A plain housewife from Ngerbeched
won the 2006 Ford Ranger Double Cab 4X2 pickup truck in the NECO Plaza
grand raffle draw last Friday.
Leticia Kloulubak was not among those who swarmed the parking lot of the
former Pacific Savings Bank and Payless Mart when Neco Plaza manager Peter
Gayman announced her name as the grand prizewinner.
The 41-year old mother of four said she was at home when someone called
to inform her about the winning prize and she even thought it as just
a joke.
The caller was Gayman, who told her to come down and take the truck.
Kloulubak arrived with two of her children and husband Yoneda, who works
at the Hawaiian Belau Rock, when almost all those who crowded the place
already left in big disappointment after waiting for several hours.
Kloulubaks was the third to be picked-up from the mountain of stubs
from the trucks cab.
The first stub was void because it has belonged to a relative of one of
NECO Plazas employees while the other stub bore no address and telephone
and it was later traced to a hotel guest, probably a tourist who already
left Palau.
Kloulubak, who already owns a car, said she remembered filling-up about
three stubs. Her ticket number was 100779.
Kloulubak said a cousin also won the Mobil grand raffle prize recently.
The following are the winners of 10 consolation prizes: Gustav Ngotel
(24 television set), Leo Gulibert (5000 BTU Aircon), Mardrine Sato
(MP4 Player), Dickson Masayuki (MP3 Player), Regis Emesiochel (Bazooka
Sub woofer), Jerry Ngiratumerang (3 pcs. Luggage), Joseph Giramur (Dinner
Set), Antonio Mikel (Comforter), Hiroko Sugiyama (Rice Cooker), Jovalyb
Koshiba (Desk Fan).
