Sato, who will coach PCC Mesekiu in the 2007 season, replaced John Wong.
The other new set of officers includes Darwin Inabo of Koror team (Vice President) and Gibson Kanai of Ngaraard (Secretary/Treasurer).
Meanwhile, Reblud Kesolei had been designated as the media relation officer.
Wong, who is the team manager for Ngerbeched, said there is a good season coming for the league.
“I believe there will be better tournament. I am very proud to pass the torch to the new president. We will work together to improve the league,” he said.
Sato, who had been playing in the major league since 1992, said he will be very fair in his term.
“I will go by the book. I will do the best I can to imrpove the league. I may be new but with the assistance of all the officers and members, we will make the PML a better league,” he said.
Sato was part of the coaching staff for the national team that placed third in the 5th Micronesian Games last year.
