THE Marianas Racing Association will hold its annual election of officers on Monday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m. at the Minatchom Atdao Pavilion.
The MRA is encouraging their members to attend and vote for the officers that will lead them in the 2007 season.
Interested individuals are also welcome to join and sign up as new MRA members.
Individuals who wish to be members must register before the election takes place and for those who are already members they must update their monthly dues prior to voting.
The MRA is looking for new, young riders to replace those who have moved up in their divisions and is encouraging the youth to join them in their practice rides at the Cowtown Raceway Park in Marpi.
The MRA need new riders in the peewee class.
MRA president Joe Flores said, in an earlier interview, he was pleased with the past season since motor sports in the CNMI is growing.
Flores said interest and participation is growing through the help and guidance of MRA officials.
The MRA thanked Pacific Trading Co., Triple J Motors, Joeten Yamaha, Sam’s Electronics, Ericco-Maeda, Shell Marianas, Kagman Mobil, the departments of Lands and Natural Resources and Public Works, and Saipan Stevedore for helping them this season.
