THE Aqua Resort Club and the Saipan Grand Hotel are both working on major projects as part of their support for the Beautify CNMI! coalition.
Aqua Resort is planning to donate to Beautify CNMI! 10 percent of its revenue from a fundraising event to be held in four consecutive months this year, while Saipan Grand will seek to raise money for the same purpose through a text-voting scheme in its environmental cheer and dance showdown that will start tomorrow, Jan. 13.
Aqua Resort sales manager Yoshimi Yanagisawa said the objective of the fundraising promo is to raise funds for Beautify CNMI! and its various environmental projects and to increase community awareness of the group’s activities.
She said Aqua Resort is one of the official sponsors of the environmental conservation coalition.
Their fundraising promotion, she said, will provide 10 percent discounts on their buffet tables on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday evenings.
She said 10 percent of the revenue from every resident who dines with them will be donated to Beautify CNMI! through the Mariana Islands Nature Alliance on April 1.
Aqua Resort will also sell T-shirts and other goods and 100 percent of the revenue will go to Beautify CNM!
They also plan to make the hotel a venue for more donations from other supporters.
Yanagisawa said Beautify CNMI! can also help inform volunteers through Web marketing.
Oscar Yema,of the Saipan Grand Hotel said their environmental cheer and dance competition aims to give students the opportunity to showcase their creativity and talent in composing cheers and choreography with the environmental message that “everyone has a part to play in keeping CNMI Clean and Beautiful.”
Yema said they will raise funds from the text messages sent by the people who watch the performance of competing groups.
