Police search for $700 blower thief

By Trina A. San Agustin
Variety News Staff

THE Guam Police Department is looking for the man who walked into Ace Hardware in Anigua, allegedly picked up a Shindawa blower, and walked right out on Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. The blower is valued at over $700.
GPD public affairs officer Allan Guzman said the suspect got into a blue Mazda pickup truck. Witnesses tried to stop the man but he overpowered them.
Witnesses gave police the vehicle’s license plate number which enabled police to run a check on the plates. Guzman said the suspect had probably changed the vehicle plate as the check didn’t match with the vehicle.
The male suspect is described as 5-feet-9-inches tall, of medium build, and has short black hair. He was last seen wearing a multi-color shirt with tan shorts.
GPD asks people with information to Call Guam Crime Stoppers at 477-HELP (4357). Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID and you do not have to leave your name.
