A man detained in jail for
failure to post a $50 bond was charged with escape after bolting out of
Koror Jail.
Based on Criminal Case No. 07-002, Arnold Milong is facing one count of
escape.
According to the affidavit of probable cause executed by Bureau of Public
Safety Officer Israel Brel, on Dec. 27,2006, Milong appeared before the
Court of Common Pleas, based on citation no. 06-2300, that has been issued.
A bail of $50 was set on Milong but when he is unable to post bail he
was taken to the jail.
The affidavit further added that that on Dec. 30, 2006, another police
officer working at the jail saw Milong flee from the premises.
It added that he left the jail and yet not posted his bail yet.
The officer then ordered the defendant to stop but reportedly kept on
running towards the Asahi Field.
Milong was later caught and told polive that he allegedly escaped to find
$50 necessary to pay his bail.
