3 more victims of copper wire thieves

COPPER wire thieves have struck again, this time victimizing the employee barracks of Tan Holdings Corp. and two other business establishments over the weekend.
According to the Department of Public Safety, which has yet to solve a copper wire theft case or arrest a suspect, the incident at the Tan Holdings Corp. barracks in Gualo Rai was reported to the police on Monday at 9:41 a.m..
Acting DPS spokesman Sgt. Thomas Blas Jr. said the power lines connected to the barracks were stolen, causing a power outage in the compound.
Blas said two other establishments and one residence were also victimized by copper wire thieves.
JJ’s Electronics reported to police on Friday morning that its storage room was burglarized and three rolls of air-conditioning tubes, which are copper coated, were stolen.
On Satruday, at 3:10 p.m., DPS received a report that power lines from a residence in Dandan homestead were cut and stolen, leaving the structure without power.
On Monday, at 9:03 a.m., Atom Action in Chalan Kanoa reported to police that its storage room was burglarized and assorted copper tubing, pipes and a compressor were stolen .
DPS said the estimated value of the stolen items was $2,480.
