Tourist couple robbed

GUAM Police Department officers are on the lookout for a suspect in the robbing of a visiting Japanese couple at the Agana Shopping Center parking lot around 9 p.m. on Monday.
Agana Precinct commander Lt. Sonny Castro said the couple was looking for a spot in the shopping center’s parking lot when the suspect told them to exit their vehicle.
When they exited the vehicle, the suspect took their rental car and drove of onto Route 4. Castro said the suspect drove off with the couple’s luggage, money and other belongings.
The man is described as 5-feet-10-inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and blue jeans shorts.
The Rent-A-Car vehicle that the suspect took is a silver four-door Hyundai Elantra with a Guam license plate number MNG 7198.
The couple was not harmed during the incident and the suspect was not armed. However, Castro said the couple was scheduled to return back home last night.
