THE 2007 Rugby
season kicks off on Saturday with boys and girls play scheduled to compete
at one location.
The first two set of games will be played on consecutive Saturdays at
the Wettengel Rugby Field in Dededo beginning at 12 noon.
The boys will host two divisions; the Taga and Gadao divisions. Father
Duenas, Simon Sanchez, and John F. Kennedy will boast Taga rights while
Norte Dame, George Washington and Southern High will represent Gadao.
The teams p lay each team in each division twice and a team in the opposing
division once for a total of seven matches.
The girls will host one division with Notre Dame, George Washington, Academy,
Sanchez and Southern offering teams. The girls teams will
play each other twice for a total of eight matches .
All games kickoff this Sat. Jan. 20. The George Washington Boys
team will take on the Southern High Dolphins in the boys season
opener. The Lady Geckos will then take to the field as they take on Norte
Dame at 1 p.m. Next up, the boy Royals will try to take it to the
John F. Kennedy Islanders at 2 p.m. and Then Academy and Father Duenas
will challenge Simon Sanchez in its respective gender.
