Unite as one

AS the threat of federal takeover looms over us, I urge all locals to please show up on Jan. 26, 2007 and join the peaceful protest against the United States recent actions to increase our minimum wage and possible talks of federal takeover of labor and immigration. There will always be some skeptics who will criticize me and it’s expected but they cannot argue the facts and issues that I presented in my editorials because they are true.
The Covenant is a solemn agreement between the people of the CNMI and the U.S. government and we should not tolerate any unilateral decisions made against us without the consent and agreement of the people of the CNMI. If we continue to allow the United States to unilaterally strip away our autonomy then our Covenant will be no different than the Organic Act of Guam.
Your voice and presence on Jan. 26, 2007 is very significant since all decisions made will not only affect you but the future of your children. I urge all CNMI citizens (Saipan, Tinian and Rota) to attend this first rally and unite as one people, one island and one voice.
