THE Senate yesterday unanimously confirmed the governor’s appointees to the Commonwealth Ports Authority, the Department of Corrections and the Civil Service Commission.
Daniel H. Nielsen, the governor’s special assistant for education, will serve on the CSC representing Saipan.
Rex I. Palacios, a former public auditor, was also confirmed as a CPA board member.
Palacios represents Saipan on the board which he chairs.
Also confirmed was the nomination of Corrections Secretary Lino S. Tenorio.
A former police captain, Tenorio has been the acting corrections secretary for the past two months.
