CITIBANK has launched its Platinum credit card in the Guam market.
Backed by Visa, the new Platinum rewards card offers exclusive, luxurious privileges to Citibank clients.
The Platinum card comes with free air travel insurance of $1 million and with the Visa Platinum Experiential Travel Program, a Platinum card member can travel to exotic destinations including places that are home to many of the world’s rich and famous.
Platinum card members also get 24-hour concierge service in several languages, so communication is hassle-free.
Another feature of the Platinum card is that it has no redemption caps or expiration on rewards points.
Like the Gold and Silver Citibank Reward cards, the Platinum card offers rewards points, which can be redeemed for frequent flyer miles.
Only Citibank offers its customers several choices for mileage redemption. They are OnePass, WorldPerks, Asia Miles and Kris Flyer, thereby making travel available on Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Japan Airlines, Singapore Airlines and their alliance partners.
For the golfer, there is complimentary golf and special benefits in 10 countries, with privilege access to exclusive golf clubs like the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Manila, Philippines; Pebble Beach Golf Links in California; and St. Andrew’s in Scotland, as well as access to 200 golf clubs worldwide.
In addition, there are over 100 restaurants to choose from, including dining privileges at Sydney, Australia’s Aqua Dining restaurant to the world renowned Shangri-la in the Philippines.
Madhu Seshadri, Citigroup Country officer, said his company is delighted to launch the Platinum card to its Guam customers.
“Travel is a part of our island lifestyle. As a global bank, our Guam customers will now be among those enjoying the Platinum experience. This is a superior product catering to the most discerning customer. At Citigroup, putting our clients first is a top priority across all businesses,” the Citigroup official said.
For an annual fee of $200, cardholders can enjoy the exclusive rewards and benefits in over 10 countries in Asia Pacific and the worldwide recognition of a Citibank Visa Platinum card.
