Mihaina Bechesrrak was awarded the 2006 Donor of the Year award by the hospitalized veterans throughout the United States and those posted overseas.
Bechesrrak, a 61-year old retiree, who have been consistently sending money to Help Hospitalized Veterans said that she was sent the certificate recognizing her as donor of the year.
Bechesrrak said that she started donating money to the organization in 2003.
She said that sending money to the institution is something that has been passed on to her by her mother.
Bechessark said she sends an amount not less than $20 every month. Aside from the Help Hospitalized Veterans, she also contributes to the Animal Shelter and Care.
Bechessark , used to be worked for the government in Saipan and stayed in Hawaii for 12 years and returned to Palau in 1981.
She said she and her siblings take care of her parents’ estate.
