Tropical Storm grabs Masters lead; NIC enters win column

TROPICAL Storm won the battle of undefeated teams in the Masters Basketball League last Wednesday at the Gilbert C. Ada Gym after clobbering LBT, 95-65.
The victory improved Tropical Storm’s record to 3-0 giving it the solo lead in the 45-and-division. LBT dropped to a 2-1 slate.
Tropical Storm had five players scoring in double figures with Dado Vistal leading the way with 29 points. Vistal waxed hot from downtown hitting five triples.
Danny Bicera added 19 points, Richard Brostrom chipped in 18 and Noel and Nomar Gamboa contributed 15 and 12 markers, respectively.
Noel Delos Santos paced LBT with 20 points, while Alex Ocampo had 10 markers.
In the other game, NIC entered the win column after downing the Ol’Aces, 68-56.
A. Manuta topscored for NIC with 25 points, while Padernal and Dacula added 18 and 10 points, respectively.
Dave Camacho led the Ol’Aces losing cause with 29 points, while Tony Rogolifoi chipped in 18.
NIC notched its first win in three games, while the Old’Aces remain winless in three matches.
