THE Guam Superior
Court grand jury separately indicted two men for allegedly raping two
minors.
Edward Keith Cabrera, 39, was charged with three counts of first-degree
criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, two counts of second-degree
criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, three counts of third-degree
sexual conduct as a second-degree felony, assault with intent to commit
criminal sexual conduct as a third-degree felony, five counts of child
abuse, and five counts of harassment.
Cabrera allegedly started sexually molesting the minor on July 1, 2006
and repeatedly committed the crime until Dec. 31, 2006.
Taisen Iper Jessy, 47, was also charged with two counts of first-degree
criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, two counts of second-degree
criminal sexual conduct as a first-degree felony, two counts of assault
with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct, two counts of child abuse
as a misdemeanor, and two counts of harassment.
Jessy allegedly started raping the minor on Sept. 8, 2006, and repeated
the crime on Jan. 8, 2007, according to the magistrate complaint filed
against him.
Cabrera and Jessy are now in the Hagatna detention center while awaiting
a court schedule for their arraignment.
