Tamuning precinct officers are looking for the suspect in a purse snatching
at Potts Junction in Dededo at 10 a.m. on Friday.
GPD public affairs officer Allan Guzman said two female Japanese tourists
were sight-seeing and stopped along the roadway by the Potts Junction

up beside their vehicle.
The individual opened the drivers door and began pulling the
drivers purse. A struggle ensued and the driver ended up getting
punched in the face by the suspect, Guzman said.
The driver ended up releasing her purse. The man also reached over to
the passenger side and struggled with the passenger, and took her purse.
The suspect fled in the pickup truck towards Route 3.
The victims in this case refused medical treatment.
The male suspect is described as possibly local, of slim build, weighing
150 to 160 pounds, and having a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing
a dark hat with a dark short sleeve pullover shirt.
No further details were given by the two women. The two purses contained
an undisclosed amount of money and miscellaneous items.
Another purse snatching
Another purse snatching took place on Saturday at 5:05 a.m. in the parking
lot of the Ghost Castle Game Room in Tamuning.
A female was walking to her vehicle from the game room and was confronted

any cigarettes, the man reached into her vehicle and began to grab her
purse, Guzman said.
When the suspect tried to get her purse, a struggle ensued. The female
was punched and kicked by the suspect until she fell to the ground and
released her purse. The man later fled on foot towards the back of Cost-U-Less.
GPD said the woman refused medical attention.
