Watch & Learn scores juiced-out win over Dublon Chiefs

WATCH & Learn blanked the Dublon Chiefs in the fourth set to notch a 58-44 juiced out victory yesterday in the second round of the World Organized Rocball Community League at the Marianas High School Gym.
Watch & Learn was in danger of losing the match after bowing to the Dublon Chiefs in the third set, 16-9.
The seven-point win in the third set put the Dublon Chiefs in the lead, 44-43, entering the fourth set.
Watch & Learn swept the first two sets, which were played last Tuesday. The first set ended with Watch and & Learn winning by only two, 16-14.
Watch & Learn’s Tyce Mister scored the first goal in the match nailing a goal in the latter part of the opening set.
Maria Ornes then drilled a goal in the second set to help Watch & Learn pull off an 18-14 triumph.
Down by two sets, the Dublon Chiefs regrouped and started strong in the third set taking a 6-1 lead.
The match was temporarily halted, as students needed to return to class.
When the game resumed yesterday, the Dublon Chiefs showed the same form that gave them the control of the game in the third set en route to a seven-point victory.
Although, it was Dublon Chief’s only victory after three sets, it sent shivers down to Watch & Learn’s spine, as the former threaten to steal the game with a 44-43 lead.
Coming into the match, Watch & Learn was undefeated in three games after the elimination round.
The Dublon Chiefs had the same achievement, but failed to continue what it had started in the third set collapsing in the fourth and crucial fourth set failing to score a single point.
With the win, Watch & Learn gained a share of the lead in the second round with defending champions the Mwaliyas and Black Magic, which won over Da Lani Kynez and Kich Fairo, respectively last week.
All six teams will play five games each in the second round with the top four advancing to the crossover semifinals.
The semis will be a best-of-three affair, while the championship showdown will have a best-of-five format.
Mister led Watch & Learn with 15 points on two aces, four kees and a goal.
Eight aces, three xunxs, nine kees and three goals were scored in the game.
The Dublon Chiefs’ Ybonn Kapwich drilled the third goal in the match nailing it in the latter part of the second set.
JR Rudolph led the Dublon Chiefs’ losing cause with six points on two aces and a kee.
