The clinic has a new digital
radiography package. Each X-ray takes a fraction of one second. There
is no “scatter” radiation, so no matter how many x-rays
one may require, it is ALWAYS a safe environment. And, the quality
and accuracy of the picture is always superb.
All anesthesia is given with a “magic wand.” There is absolutely
no discomfort for either adults and/or children, and it is safe.
Tooth Works now has an intra-oral camera that is the size of a palm-pilot
and takes very vivid photographs of any tooth, and these photos (color)
are easily viewed by the patient. They are much more meaningful to
a patient than an x-ray. Observing both the photographs and the x-rays
makes it easy for patients to make an intelligent decision about how
a tooth or teeth need to be restored, especially when there is evident
decay, broken fillings, fractures, or extreme wear (betel nut chewers).
Our clinic has the very latest drills, with fiber-optic lighting,
so that treating doctor can plainly see that tooth that is being treated.
We also now have a new machine to recontour gum tissue at significantly
reduced fees, and it is painless.
And we are now equipped to place dental implants in the clinic. Dr.
Alan Stuart Markoff has had years of training in the field of implantology,
has placed hundreds of implants, and is particularly well trained
in the restoration of implants. He also has a Master’s Degree
in dentistry, and is well trained to provide each and every patient
with the best dental care.
