ILLEGAL aliens are now the targets of the Crime Stoppers Program.
NMI Crime Stoppers Coordinator PO1 Anthony Diaz said Crime Stoppers and the Division of Immigration are urging the community to provide assistance in the apprehension of all illegal aliens in the CNMI.
Diaz said their objective is to alert those who own apartments, barracks and houses regarding possible illegal aliens.
There is a possibility that a person renting an apartment or a house is an illegal alien, he added.
“Through this program, we’re hoping to get information from landlords and we want them to come forward and report these crimes to us,” Diaz said.
Anyone with information about illegal aliens can call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272. PTI cell phone users can dial *11.
Crime Stoppers pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Caller ID is not used and all calls remains anonymous.
