A man has been
charged with aggravated assault from allegedly threatening two men with
a knife.
In Criminal Case No. 07-030, Harold Tico Nakamura is facing four counts
of aggravated assault and one count of assault and battery.
According to the affidavit of probable cause executed by Bureau of Public
Safety Officer Juan Yagmai on Dec. 19, 2006, he was assigned to investigate
a reported assault that occurred at the Ministry of Education parking
lot near the Bem Ermii in Koror.
The affidavit said that on that day around midnight, John Swords, Seth
Carlson , Bruce Wenty and few other young men reportedly went to Bem Ermii
to get some food.
While the young men were waiting for their food to be prepared, Nakamura
allegedly pulled up in his vehicle and reportedly confronted Swords.
The affidavit stated that even before Swords could walk away from Nakamura,
the defendant reportedly pushed him on the face.
The affidavit also said that Nakamura then reportedly turned his attention
to Swords friends who were standing nearby.
The affidavit stated that Nakamura allegedly pulled out a knife and began
to first chase Carlson and when the defendant reportedly could not catch
Carlson he began chasing after Wenty threatening him with a knife.
The affidavit said that the young men were able to get the license plate
on Nakamuras vehicle and was later identified as the suspect.
