A COPPER wire theft was reported on Wednesday by the Mobil gas station in San Jose, according to Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro Uludong.
She said a preliminary investigation disclosed that the incident was discovered by a an employee who was about to service the gas station’s generator.
The employee noticed that the cable connecting the generator to the main switch board had been slashed.
The length of the stolen cable was about 120 feet, DPS said.
Following the arrest of eight copper wire suspects, which included a minor, there had been no reports of copper wire theft incidents — until Wednesday evening.
These seven suspects are now in the custody of the Department of Corrections
