The six-member Team Palau in wrestling is now ready for the upcoming Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa.
The final line-up for the team is composed of coach Steven Patris, Stevick Patris, Jun Joseph Pedro, twin sisters Alexandrina and Alexandra Patris and women coach Daphne Techechur.
Coach Steven said that the team has never lost time during their daily practice at the Palau National Gymnasium in preparation for the quadrennial event.
"We have improved a lot since the Mini Games here in Palau," said Steven.
He said that he has high expectations for medals but admitted that the other countries have also players in their top form.
Before the Pacific Games, the team is also ready for the so-called Email tournament in April.
After Apia, the team will also compete for a higher-level competition, which is the Pacific Rim event.
In this event, Palau will compete against countries in Asia, South America, Canada and the United States.
