A WORKSHOP on commercial pesticide application will be held from March 13 to 16, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Aqua Resort Club.
The registration fee is $20.
The workshop is primarily intended for commercial pest control applications using restricted use pesticides.
The presentations will focus on the principles of pest control, pest biology, pesticide labeling and formulations, pesticides hazards and environment, pesticide laws and regulations, protective equipment, mixing, loading and handling, pesticide storage, transportation and security and math calculation and calibrations.
Participants must attend the complete training course and pass the examinations in order to purchase and use restricted use pesticides.
The Division of Environment Quality, and Northern Marianas College’s Cooperative Research, Extension and Education Service are sponsoring the workshop.
