The president of Palau and the governors of Guam and Yap will be on island this month for the three-day 7th Western Micronesian Chief Executives Summit which the CNMI is hosting.
The regional summit is scheduled for March 21-23 at the Fiesta Resort & Spa and will focus on renewable energy, transportation, health, tourism and environmental issues.
The summit is a yearly gathering of the leaders of the CNMI, Guam, Yap and Palau.
During the last summit in Yap, leaders signed a joint resolution endorsing the Pacific Islands Regional Recycling Initiative Committee to officially operate as an independent organization on behalf of the four island governments.
The committee will hold a presentation on the opening day of the summit here.
