3 adults arrested for smoking marijuana with minor

THE Guam Police Department arrested three adults last week for allegedly smoking marijuana with a 15-year-old boy.
Police discovered the incident after following up on report of domestic violence involving Robert Lee Paterson III, 35, of Harmon, and his ex-girlfriend at the Sunrise Apartments in Harmon at 1:15 a.m. on Friday.
Police found Paterson along with Kristy Ann Quinata, 27, of Harmon, David Santos Chamness Jr., 21, of Harmon, and a 15-year-old boy with the illegal drug, as well as drug paraphernalia. They were all arrested.
GPD public affairs officer Allan Guzman told Variety that the arrests were made after a follow-up investigation by officers on a domestic disturbance call.
“Officers came across some individuals in possession of an illegal substance. A 15-year-old and three others were arrested. The minor was remanded to the custody of the Juvenile Investigation Section. He hasn’t been officially charged with a crime,” Guzman added.
According to Guzman, the domestic violence report was made by Paterson’s ex-girlfriend. She told police that Paterson strangled her with a seatbelt around her neck and struck her several times while she was in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.
Paterson grabbed his ex-girlfriend’s hair and pushed her face into the steering wheel in front of her. He attempted to throw her out of the vehicle and bit her arm as she tried to break free.
Paterson was charged with family violence, assault, and harassment. The Superior Court has yet to officially charge Paterson with the drug possession charges.
Paterson was charged by GPD last week with illegal possession of a controlled substance, possession for illegal delivery, child abuse, criminal facilitation, conspiracy, and possession of marijuana.
Later on the same day, Paterson was charged with additional charges of family violence and aggravated assault.
The charges filed against Quinata include child abuse, illegal possession of a controlled substance, jurisdiction over an adult, conspiracy, criminal facilitation, and possession for illegal delivery. She was booked and confined.
Chamness was charged with child abuse, conspiracy, jurisdiction over an adult, and guilt by complicity.
Guzman said the “jurisdiction” over an adult charge resulted from allowing the 15-year-old boy to smoke the drug with them.
Man thrown out of building
In other news, police continue to search for a man believed to have thrown a 35-year-old man off of the second floor of the Unpingco Apartments in Sinajana at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday.
Guzman said the victim was unconscious and transported to the hospital.
In other news, Joaquin San Nicolas Crisostomo, 61, of Dededo, was arrested on Friday for allegedly burglarizing a house in Fern Terrace.
The homeowner discovered the burglary when he found Crisostimo’s wallet in the house.
Crisostimo was arrested and charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and theft of property. He was booked and released.
