A RIBBON-cutting ceremony will be held at 12 noon today for Guam Community College’s new culinary arts kitchen and auditorium.
The opening of the kitchen is expected to enhance GCC’s culinary arts degree program which was first offered in the spring 2005 semester.
“Students on Guam are now able to learn in a kitchen facility that went from 859 square feet to 4,200 square feet. The opening of our culinary arts program at GCC allows our students to gain hands-on training using brand new commercial kitchen equipment. GCC’s culinary kitchen allows people who are truly interested in this particular profession to stay on-island…to gain the education and training to enter the culinary arts field,” said GCC president Gerominiano delos Santos.
