THE first batch of riders from Marianas Racing Association will leave tomorrow morning for Rota to hold a series of exhibition races, which will be a part of the island’s San Isidro Fiesta celebration.
MRA secretary Eleanor Cepeda said seven riders will be leaving at 9 a.m. tomorrow, while the rest are expected to arrive on Rota Saturday morning.
Among those in the first batch are Patty and Edinna Cepeda, Chris-Chris, Ton-Ton and Chris Alepuyo, Ellery Cruz and Melvin Cepeda.
Other riders that will put on a show on Rota are Kiku Togawa, Shane Alvarez, Emelsah Cepeda, Megan Cruz, Nathan Quitano, Jack Dela Cruz, Franklin Santos, Britney, Henry and DJ Camacho.
The races will take place this Saturday and Sunday in Sinapollo Village. Races start at 11 a.m.
The Saipan riders will be joined by three 85 cc novice riders from Rota.
With MRA participating in exhibition races on Rota this weekend, the association will not be holding a point race this month. Results in the Rota races will not be counted in the monthly point standings.
