FISH and Wildlife Director
Sylvan O. Igisomar will represent the Northern Marianas on the Western
and Central Pacific Fisheries Council, an organization that helps island
governments manage their fish and ocean resources.
Gov. Benigno R. Fitial told Kitty Simonds, executive director of the Western

Igisomar has a bachelors degree in natural resources management

the islands in a fisheries summit held in New Caledonia.
Last year, Igisomar represented the islands in a fishery management council
orientation training in Washington, D.C.

knowledge of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management
Act, wrote the governor to Simonds.
He now serves as a council member designee for WestPac, and as you
