GUAM Police Department Hagatna Precinct officers, together with SWAT officers, were called in to restrain a local mixed martial arts fighter for allegedly brandishing a gun at a woman and threatened her family.
GPD public affairs officer Allan Guzman said officers arrested Alex James Castro, 26, in Chalan Pago on Tuesday.
The suspect is popularly known in the mixed martial arts world as Alex “Most Hated” Castro.
Guzman said the unnamed woman threatened by Castro personally filed the complaint at the Hagatna Precinct.
“It was a follow-up investigation into the case in which a male individual had brandished a gun at a female and threatened the female’s family. Police, along with SWAT officers, located Castro in the Hagatna area and arrested him,” Guzman said.
Castro was charged by GPD with terrorizing and family violence. He was booked and confined.
In other news, GPD officers investigated a reported criminal sexual conduct complaint on Tuesday night.
“A 12-year-old girl reported to police that she was sexually assaulted sometime in April 2006,” Guzman told Variety.
Jesse Roque Castro, 26, of Agat, was arrested in this case. He was charged with criminal sexual conduct, child abuse, and family violence. He was booked and confined.
