THE XTERRA Guam off-road triathlon happening Sunday, March 11, is the first race on the XTERRA America Tour. The 1km swim, 27km mountain bike and 5km trail run will see the island’s best multi-sport athletes tackle the grueling off-road terrain near Piti. Adding to the excitement is the stellar field of professional triathletes from around the world, including Olympians and World Champions, who have signed up to take on the challenge of Guam’s off-road event.
The media is invited to meet nad interview these visiting pros this Friday, March 9 at the Pacific Islands Club Tasa banquet room beginning at 3 p.m.
In attendance will be Olivier Marceau (France), Sam Gardner (United Kingdom), Sergey Makarenko (Russia), Jamie Whitmore (USA), Renata Bucher (Switzerland), Sybille Matter (Switzerland), Taro Shirato (Japan) and Julie Dibens (United Kingdom).
