A GOLF tournament
that will bridge the civilian and military communities in a midday celebration
of togetherness is slated for next Wednesday.
Guam Chamber of Commerce President Eloise Baza to members reminded all
that the date of the tenth (10th ) Amateur Golf Tournament hosted by the
Chamber is scheduled for next Wednesday, March 14, 2007 beginning at 11:30
a.m. The tournament will take place at the Guam Golf Resort in Dededo.
Baza added that all proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Chambers
Armed Forces Committee.
The Chambers Armed Forces Committee is comprised of the Commander
U.S. Naval Forces Marianas/USCINCPAC Representative, Thirteenth Air Force
(PACAF), 36th Air Base Wing (PACAF), Guam National Guard, and U.S. Coast
Guard Marianas Section. All have agreed to foster mutual respect
and a congenial working relationship between businesses and the military
communities; promote cooperation through the free flow of information;
and insure fair treatment for local business with the military.
There will be a n yumber of prizes and different opportunities. First,
Second & Third Place winners will receive a trophy in addition to
one of the top prize packages. As well, these;s a bev of incentives
to try your best at the putt putt. Big time Hole-in-One Prizes will be
offered courtesy of AK Toyota, CarsPlus, 76-Circle K, Triple J Acura,
Yamaha and PacSports. A Longest Drive Contest on East No. 9 will have
a prize pool for both genders courtesy of Security Title, Inc. A closest
to the Pin Contest on the East No. 7 will be offered from AM Insurance.
And there will be cash money up for grabs, $5 thousand Grand Prize in
the Putting Contest.
Entry deadline for players is on Monday, March 12. It will cost $250 per
