Man gets 7 years for drugs

A man will be spending seven years in jail for methamphetamine or "ice" trafficking.
Chief Justice Arthur Ngiraklsong sentenced Brother Kumaichi to 15 years of imprisonment , all suspended except for the first seven years.
Kumaichi begun serving his jail term last Feb. 16.
Kumaichi pled guilty to the drug peddling charges.
Bureau of Public Safety Director Hazime Telei commended the police officers for a job well done in curbing drug peddling in the country.
He said the war against drug continues and that the community has become more vigilant in reporting crimes.
He said the community has been helpful to the police on its fight against drugs.
Division of Patrol Chief Ismael Aguon said the Crime Stopper hotline has been successful because of the calls police get from the community about crimes.
