EMO: Cool breezes this week

By Emmanuel T. Erediano
Variety News Staff

THE cool breezes the CNMI has been experiencing for almost a week now have been producing temperatures ranging from 68 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, according to Emergency Management Office director Gregorio A. Deleon Guerrero.
This is chilly for most CNMI residents who are accustomed to temperatures of over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, he said.
The National Weather Service on said strong trade winds caused by high pressure over the north Pacific have swept through the CNMI.
Based on information received from the National Weather Service, EMO informed the public that due to a low pressure system moving off Japan Sunday night a small craft advisory was in effect.
The public, specially fishermen, tour operators, divers and boats entering and leaving harbors, are urged to exercise caution and note rough sea conditions in the channels between the islands.
