Faith is playing the Guam National team and clubs today, starting at 5 pm Robbie Webber field.
Tomorrow they play Agueda Johnson and Inarajan middle school.
“We’re having a great time and excited about the future. Guam is the place to hold a Far East soccer tournament. The DODDS (Department of Defense Dependents School) Far East soccer tournament is held in the last week of May and regional schools cannot attend because school is over by then. We have built a relationship with many schools in Taiwan, Japan and Korea through basketball but there is no venue for soccer tournaments for those of us who finish school early. I believe Guam has the facilities and ability to host these schools…The competitions have been good, the kids are excited, full of energy and having a great time. We can’t wait to come back next year and play not only with the Guam teams but those of Asia as well. We had a very productive meeting with Guam Football Association officials yesterday and I believe we can make it happen for next year,” said Dan Beaver, Faith athletic director.
