PCC widens PML lead with 2 wins in 2 days

Palau Community College Mesekiu posted two wins in two days and widened its lead in the Palau Major League at the Asahi Field.
PCC edged out Ngerbeched, 9-8, on Monday night and ousted Ngaraard on Tuesday, 15-0,
The twin victories kept PCC on top of the 10-team field tournament with an 11-1 record and widened its gap from closest pursuer Airai (9-3).
But more importantly, PCC assured itself of a berth in the play-off round, which is about to start in the next few days.
Kayangel is running third with an 8-3 record while Ngerbeched is in fourth with 8-4.
Completing the team standings are Ngardmau (6-6), Ngerbeches (4-7), Koror (2-9) and Ngaraard (0-12).
On Wednesday night, Kayangel posted an overwhelming win against Ngardmau, 16-2.
As of presstime last night Koror was leading over Ngerbeches, 10-2, in the fifth inning.
Meanwhile, PCC’s Melengis Uchel led in the homerun count. Two players with two homeruns are Dekei Ngiramengior of PCC and Kalei Lui of Ngerbeched.
Those with one homerun are Sureor Ngiramengior (PCC), Caleb Meltel (PCC)< Omsuul Yalap (PCC), Glen Palacios (Ngerbeched), Reagan Sidoi (Airai), Temmy Ngiraiblekuu (Airai), Max Kloulubak (Ngardmau ), JT Tudong (Ngardmau), JR Borja (Koror), Homer Hesus (Kayangel), and Dino Mesubed (Ngarbeched).
