Rivals rollover Meda; Peched snaps Breakers’ run

The Rivals continued their winning run by outsmarting Meda, 61-55, on Wednesday night in the 2007 Shell National Basketball League at the Palau National Gymnasium.
Scout Matsutaro scored 24 points as the Rivals streaked to their fourth win for a clean 4-0 record in the second round of Division I.
Also on Wednesday March 7, the Styxers bounced back with a 78-72 victory over the Surangel Suns.
Reid Rikrik scored 23 and Wallace Rikrik added 24 as the Styxers improved their record to 3-1.
Earlier on Monday March 5, defending champion Peched Raw resuurected itself with a 65-58 win over the Breakers.
Team captain Sunshine Soalablai finished with 24 points as Peched rolled to their third win for a 3-1 card while snaping the Breakers’ previous three-straight winning run.
The Ikelauans also escaped with a hard-earned 59-57 decision over the Ididers on Monday.
RJ hit a triple that made the winning margin and capped his 13-point performance of the night. Carlee and Kirk had 15 and 12 points, respectively as the Ikelauans completed a back-to-back after losing their first two games of the second round.
