THE Defending champion SAIPANCELL
Patriots extended their winning streak to five after blanking the Jets,
29-0, in their Majors division game in the 2007 Saipan Little League Baseball
tournament last Sunday at the Miguel Tan Ge Basa Pangelinan
Ballfield.
Tyler Kaipat pitched in no relief for the Patriots for three complete
innings, while Brian Camacho, Lamarc Iguel and Jeremy Rabauliman took
care of business on offense to maintain the defending champions
perfect record.
Camacho went 3-for-4 at the plate and had one double and two triples.
Iguel was also 3-for-4 with two homeruns, while Rabauliman went 2-for-2
with three walks and two homeruns.
In other Majors results, Richard Camacho had two over-the-fence homeruns
to lead the Mobil Kagman Aztecs to a 23-4 rout of the As.
Camacho was perfect at the plate going 4-for-4. He also had one inside-the-park
homer, one double and six RBIs.
Martin Salas was also flawless, as he went 3-for-3 with one homerun and
one double.
The 19-point win over the As improved the Aztecs record to 2-2.
The Kautz Glass Pirates opened last Sundays action in the Majors
winning against McDonalds, 8-2.
Frankie Camacho led the Pirates with one double, one inside-the-park homer
and two RBIs. He went 2-for-3 at the plate.
The As Matuis Twins and the Toyota Matrix played in the last game with
the former nailing a 13-1 triumph after only three and a half innings.
Robert Tudela was 2-for-2 and had one double.
The Twins improved to a 4-1 record tying the Tanapag Braves for second
place behind the league-leading Patriots.
Action in the Majors division will continue this weekend with McDonalds
hoping to regain its winning form when it meets the Dragons in the first
game this Saturday.
The second match on Saturday will feature the Jets battling the Chalan
Kanoa Bears, while the Little Legals will face the Aztecs in the third
game. The OlAces II will collide with the As in the fourth
game.
This Sunday, all eyes will be set on the Patriots-Twins tiff, as the latter
tries to snap the formers winning run.
Also scheduled to play this Sunday are the OlAces I, who will square
off with the winless Toyota Matrix (0-4) in the first game, the Braves
vs the Pirates in the third game and the Hustlers against the Red Sox
in the fourth match.
In other division results, the Fielders slipped past the Jets, 7-4, last
Saturday, at the Francisco Tan Ko Palacios Ballfield.
The Jets Senior team redeemed the squads pride with an 11-8 victory
over the Pirates.
Only two games were played at the Palacios Ballfield last Sunday with
the Tanapag Warriors beating the OlAces in the Juniors division,
10-7.
Meanwhile, action in the Big League continues tonight with the Northern
Angles battling the Aztecs at 6 p.m.
Big League games are played every Tuesday and Thursday, while Seniors
and Juniors matches are set for Saturday and Sunday.
On Thursday, the Fielders will take on the Hustlers.
