Kagman High alumni completes Marines Corps training

HONORING the outstanding graduating Marines from Platoon 4002, O Company, 4th Recruiting Training Battalion, the U.S. Marine Corps held its basic recruit training on Jan. 27, at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, South Carolina, a media release said.
Among the newly inducted and proud Marines was Pvt. Lalaine M. Reyes of Saipan.
Reyes is the daughter of David and Dolores Reyes, and has one sister, Larissa Marie Reyes.
Private Reyes attended and graduated from Kagman High School in 2006 and was the salutatorian for her graduating class.
In her senior year, Reyes attained the highest Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery score at Kagman High.
“I am very proud and honored to congratulate Private Reyes for her sense of dedication and volunteerism by enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps,” said Washington Rep. Pete A. Tenorio.
“Private Reyes joins the ranks of her fellow soldiers, sailors and Marines from the Northern Marianas who are serving with honor, pride, and the sense of enduring commitment to protect and defend our American values, principles and way of life at home and abroad.”
Private Reyes is stationed in South Carolina recovering from an injury. Once recovered, she will pursue further training in aviation electronics while in the Marine Corps.
