The Public Education and Enhancement Committee of the Project for the Improvement of Solid Waste Management in Palau has started distributing its new campaign material for the 3Rs program to the stakeholders.
The 3Rs stand for reduce, re-use and recycle.
PEEC’s new campaign material is a t-shirt carrying the winning entry in the recent mascot contest on its back with the message "Let’s take actions to reduce our wastes!"
The PEEC yesterday said that other campaign materials like posters, bumper stickers, bookmarks, textbook stickers and a newsletter.
Just recently, the steering committee met Feb 28 to evaluate the progress of the ISWM project.
The committee discussed the ongoing rehabilitation work of M-Dock landfill, preparation for the National Solid Waste Management Plan, achievement in public and education enhancement, progress of capacity development in the project, works to develop recycling program and schedule of works for the month of March.
