THE NMI Crime Stoppers hosted a pizza party for 13 students of Marianas High School who sold raffle tickets during a fundraising activity for the softball tournament sponsored by the program.
The party was held at the Kilili Beach yesterday afternoon.
Crime Stoppers program chairman Jim Arenovski and newly appointed Crime Stoppers coordinator PO1 Anthony Diaz organized the gathering for the 13 students who are also members of the Law Enforcement Explorer Program.
Diaz said the students sold $216 worth of raffle tickets during the fundraising activity for the Crime Stoppers Softball Tournament held on Jan. 26-28.
One of the students, Jesse Muna, was also awarded $40 for selling tickets worth $115.
Diaz said the party and the cash award were long overdue.
He said they are urging other members of the community to also support Crime Stoppers.
