Raiders top IIAAG MS Boys Hoops

THE St. Anthony Raiders stand alone perfect atop the Interscholastic Middle School’s league in Boys’ hoop action this season. The Raiders finished their season with 11 wins and no losses in the 12 team league.
In at second place is the Andersen Middle School Dragons with a 9-2 record to boast. St. Francis and Bishop Baumgartner finished their season at third and fourth place respectively with an 8-3 records for the Crusaders and a 7-4 show for the Obispos. The St. Paul Warriors of Harmon also reflected a 7-4mark and the Harvest Christian Eagles and San Vicente rounded out the top half of all teams with a 6-5 record.
The bottom half finishers in this years Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam Middle School boys’ basketball league are as follows Mcool, Santa Barbara, Trinity, Mt. Carmel and St. John’s.
Meanwhile, just whom will boast bragging rights in the Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam Girls’ Softball crown chase will be clearer at the end of today as the Semi-Finals get underway.
On Monday Southern High beat the St. John’s Knights in a perfect no-hit wonder 15-0 led by pitcher Rosann Meeks and the George Washington Geckos knocked the Academy of Our Lady of Guam from contention besting them 12-1 .
In the regular season, the Simon Sanchez Sharks and the George Washington Geckos lead their respective divisions. The Sharks are atop the Taga Division with an 8-3 record and the Lady Geckos look like powerhouse champions with the best overall season record of 11-1 to lead the Gadao Division.
Next up in their respective divisions are the Southern High Dolphins with a 10-1 record for the Gadao group. Norte Dame at 7-4, Guam High with a 4-8 record and Academy of Our Lady with a 3-9 showing round out the Gadao Division. In the Taga group, the John F. Kennedy Islanders at 6-5, St. John’s Knights with a 2-9 show and the winless St. Paul Christian Warriors, 11-0 hold up the foundation for the girls’ league.
