Taiwanese businessmen show interest in Palau aquaculture industry

A group of Taiwanese businessmen is interested in investing in aquaculture projects in Palau.
Dennis Chen, CEO of PRIMO designs led a team of businessmen to look for opportunities in the aquaculture industry.
The group of businessmen met with former President Kuniwo Nakamura to get information and inputs on the aquaculture industry in Palau.
He said the businessmen could help Palau improve its aquaculture industry by introducing new technology.
He said that Palau is very rich in its marine products that with the help of new technology it could be expanded.
He said the trip to Palau is to also look into the investment environment of the country and its laws on investment.
He said investments from the Taiwanese businessmen could bring in millions of dollars in Palau and help its economic development.
The group also toured the Malakal port after meeting Nakamura.
Chen said the visit to Palau was through the help of the Taiwan embassy here.
