WE would like to thank the honorable former Lt. Gov. Benjamin T. Manglona and family for hosting us on our cultural exploration trip to Rota on March 9-11. For some of us it is our first time to leave Saipan, so you could imagine the excitement just to go to the neighboring island.
We visited the Bird Sanctuary, the Swimming Hole and Taga Stone Quarry. We were fortunate to experience the preservation of natural ecology. Si yuus maase to the people of Rota for the wonderful hospitality during the San Isidro fiesta. Thank you to our guides — Magdalena Mesngon, Mario Aspacio, Rogelio Sabangan Jr. and Kayla Mesngon for their patience and generosity.
