THE U.S. District Court for the NMI has granted a plaintiff’s motion for reimbursement of $435.28, the fees paid to the U.S. Marshal Service for services performed in connection with securing property that was auctioned by the court.
Designated Federal Judge David A. Wiseman granted the motion of Angelito Trinidad and others for the reimbursement of $435.28 in fees paid to the U.S. Marshals.
The court said it will also consider the plaintiffs’ motion as a motion for costs associated with the judicial sale of lot No. E.A.222.
Trinidad and others in 1997 sued Pangelinan and co-defendants for fraud and violation of the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.
Pangelinan lost the case and judgment was entered against him in the amount of $205,787 plus interest, and for attorney’s fees in the amount of $70,200.
Last year, Pangelinan was indicted and found guilty of obstruction of a court order for attempting to stop the auction of his property.
