Lib Day parade applications

THIS is inform all interested individuals, companies and/or organization that the 2007 Liberation Day Committee is now accepting applications for the Liberation Day Parade.
Interested individuals, companies and/or organizations may pick up applications at the Saipan Mayor’s Office.

Chacha science fair

(COJHS) — The science department of Chacha Ocean View Jr. High will hold the science fair on March 26, Monday.
Students will be separated according to the three categories: life science, earth science and physical science.
There will be two judges per category. Students will also be available for interview through out the duration of the judging.For more information, call 664-4100.

(MHS) — Marianas High School has scheduled the following events:
March 19 – 3rd and 4th period exams
March 20 – 1st and 2nd period exams
March 21 – 4th quarter begins/regular school day
March 22 – Regular school day
March 23 – Covenant/Commonwealth Day (no classes)
March 28 – 3rd quarter report card day/open house, MHS campus, 4-6 p.m., (students will be released at 1 p.m.)
• March 29 & 30 – PSS Statewide Professional Development (no classes)
April 2-9 – Easter Break (no classes)
May 4 – Regular school day
May 25 – Last day for seniors
• May 28 – Memorial Day (no classes)
June 2 – Graduation day
June 5 – Last day for underclassmen (freshmen, sophomores, juniors), 4th quarter ends
June 6 – School Level Professional Development, last day for teachers
Aug. 3 – SY 2007-2008 begins (students return to school)

(WSR) – William S. Reyes Elementary School has scheduled the following events:
March 16 – Science Fair viewing (open to public), 8 a.m.-2 p.m.; WSRES Parent PeaceBuilder Workshop (by invitation only)

March 20 – 3rd Quarter ends; My Wave Club meeting, 2:30 p.m., Room G-6; NJHS meeting, 2:30 p.m. Room I-7
March 23 – Covenant/Commonwealth Day (no classes)
March 26 – 4th quarter begins
March 27 – NJHS meeting, 2:30 p.m., Room I-7
March 28 – 1/2 day (teacher training day) students dismissed at 12 noon.
March 29 & 30 – Statewide Professional Development Day (no classes)
March 31 – Red Cross Walkathon
The PSS Statewide Professional Development Days are postponed from March 21 and 22 to March 29 and 30. Because of this change, there will be classes on March 21 and 22 and no classes on the 29th and 30th.

Jury selection cancelled

(CNMI SUPERIOR COURT) — This is to inform all prospective jurors for panel “FS” that the jury selection scheduled for March 19 at 8:30 a.m. in courtroom 223A has been cancelled until further notice.

GES fundraiser

(GES) — The Garapan Elementary School’s Parent Teacher Association informs the community that the fundraising for Little Miss./Mr. Mallard has been extended to the end of March.
This will be a spring celebration that will be held on school grounds on Friday, March 31. Many events will take place on this day including entertainment, variety of food, rummage sale along with the coronation of Little Mr./Miss Mallard 2007.
