PCC closes out with 13-1 after Round 2 of PML

Palau Community College Mesekiu closed out with its best regular season finish of 13-1 win-loss record in two years in the Palau Major League.
PCC, thus, assured itself the top spot in the play-off round and is on the way to claim the 2007 PML pennant.
PML officials last week decided to extend the regular season to three rounds.
The league went for a break since last
Saturday’s games to give way for the Education Awareness Week.
Make-up games will resume tonight but no available schedules yet as of presstime.
Play-by-play information from team manager Todd Ngiramegior on PCC’s last three games showed how the team masterfully won over their opponents in successions.
In their 9-8 victory over Ngerbeched, PCC thrived on early runs and a homer to prevail.
Melengis Uchel, the league’s current homerun leader, scored a two-run homer to highlight PCC’s win. Sureor Ngirailemesang, who relived Kaleb Dulei had six strikeouts and five singles that lifted his team off from that tight contested game.
Then, Mesekiu did not flexed too much muscle in beating a young team from Ngaraard for a 15-0 win with batting leader Cleofas Iyar at the mound. The game was stopped after five innings in this nine-inning tournament.
In its final game of the seond round, PCC outplayed Ngardmau, 15-3, via a 10-run rule in the seventh inning.
