health fair
THE public is
invited to attend the Nutrition Health Fair this Saturday, March 24, 2007
from 7 a.m. to 12 noon at the Kagman Community Center.
The fair is a half-day family-oriented event that will include lots of
physical and educational activities, games, prizes and giveaways for the
entire family.
The purpose of this event is to promote healthier living by providing
resources and education of what can be offered and what are available
in the community for the CNMI people.
Other activities will include blood sugar testing, blood pressure reading,
displays, exhibit, cooking demonstrations and much more.
If anyone would like a game of basketball or volleyball, volunteers will
be available to coordinate games at the centers facilities.
Similar to last year, a prize will be given to the school with the most
number of student participation so everyone must register.
Last years prizewinner was Hopwood Jr. High School where the fair
was held at the Koblerville Youth Center. Everyone is encouraged to come
to the Kagman Community Center this Saturday and enjoy their morning at
the
Garapan
school PTAevent.

Garapan Elementary Schools Parent-Teacher Association informs parents
and guardians that it has rescheduled its monthly meeting from March 29
to this Thursday, March 22, in the school cafeteria at 6 p.m.
This months agenda will discuss Little Mr./Miss Mallard 2007.
CUC customer service center open today

The Commonwealth Utilities Corp.s Dandan customer service center
remains open this Thursday, March 22.
Although this Thursday and Friday are government holidays, CUC recognizes
the need to enhance customer service and be available on the private sector
paydays, for customers who need to pay utility accounts or those who want
utilities reconnected.
The customer service center opens at 7:30 a.m. and remains open through
6 p.m.
Cashiers will be available and representatives to assist customers in
calculating bills, reconnections, and other customer service functions.
This Dandan center is always open until 6 p.m. on Fridays, or in this
case, Thursday.
Otherwise the center closes at 4:30 p.m.
On Friday, March 23, Covenant Day, CUC is closed. Utility payments may
be made at the Bank of Hawaii, the Bank of Saipan the and Bank of Guam.
NMC math placement test

Northern Marianas College will conduct its math placement test on the
following dates:
Tuesday, May 15, 10 a.m. 12 noon, Room: D-1
Tuesday, May 15, 5 p.m. 7 p.m., Room: D-1
Thursday, May 17, 10 a.m. 12 noon, Room: D-1
Thursday, May 17, 5 p.m. 7 p.m., Room: D-1
Things to bring:
A valid photo ID (Drivers license, passport, or school ID)
Pen or pencil
Calculator (optional)
There is a $25 fee that must be paid in advance at NMCs finance
office.
Students will not be admitted to the testing room without proof of payment
a receipt for the placement test fee.
NMC students are not allowed to take the placement test more than once.
The only exception to this condition is for NMC students who have not
taken a math class within one year of taking the math placement test.
No reservations needed first come first served. No admittance to
the testing room will be allowed after the starting times listed above.
