The much-anticipated
payouts for the Pacific Savings Bank depositors will start today.
Checks will be distributed at the PSB parking lot between the NECO Plaza
Building and Bank of Hawaii and signs will be posted to direct depositors
to the correct location and table where the checks will be available for
pick up.
Depositors whose first names starts with "A to AMOR" can get
their checks today in the morning while names starts with "Amos to
Audr" can pick up their checks in the afternoon.
Depositors picking up their checks are required to bring a form of picture
identification when picking up the check.
PSB said only depositors who did not request a direct deposit or check
mailing need to claim their checks.
Valid identifications drivers license, pass port, work permit and
state identification card.
For corporate or organization accounts the signor is authorized to pick
up the check for that organization.
The PSB said depositors who would miss the scheduled date can pick up
the check after the payout from April 4, 2007 or they provide authorization
to someone else to pick up the check.
The payouts was made possible through a grant from Taiwan in the amount
of $2.4 million.
Taiwan approved the grant funds to be lent to the PSB receiver as a one-year
"no interest" loan.
