Pregnancy for a green card

I WOULD like to commend the United States for entertaining guest workers who have not one but as many as six children here in the CNMI under the guest worker program. My grandmother was a Japanese national and had to take a series of tests to become a U.S. citizen. I guess the requirements have changed since the last time and now the basic prerequisite is to have a child in the CNMI so Uncle Sam can send their representatives from the United States to entertain “LEGAL IMMIGRANT WORKERS.” If this was the case then I should have told my grandmother when she was 70 plus years old to get pregnant and come down here to Saipan and give birth because it may qualify her to become a legal green card holder.
The other thing that is really interesting is the possibility of former Sen. Fred Thompson’s entering the presidential race. Mr. Thompson made a bold statement to Mexico that they should discourage the exploitation and or encouragement of Mexican nationals from leaving Mexico and trying to enter the United States illegally.
He also questioned U.S. foreign policy and how drafting an amnesty program to make these illegal immigrants become United States citizens was not a foreign policy issue.
I think that the governor should also send a statement to the president of the Philippines that the guest worker program in the CNMI is a program that allows for economic benefit for the individuals who participate in the program and not for residency opportunity. The guest worker program does not provide for future green cards and or citizenship and that the CNMI does not serve as a breeding ground for individuals who try to exploit this program and our islands. A contract worker who has more than one child here in the CNMI is creating a deliberate act to gain sympathy using their children for their residency status.
We have more than ample amount of land for individuals who enter the CNMI for the purpose of getting pregnant and joining deceitful groups such as the Dekada organization. Please avail yourselves to our islands of Anatahan, Mendinilla and Agrigan which are now available and have been available for quite some time. For more information please check with Allen Stayman. The only thing is that you have to pay for the lease of our lands. Farallon De Mendinilla is currently being leased by the United States for a very lucrative $1 an acre per year.
Regarding the issue of conceiving in the CNMI and being entitled to a green card — Mr. Stayman, Mr. Cohen and the United States Congress: You all know that that there is more than ample amount of case laws that will kill your dream. A more recent incident was regarding a South American woman, who gave birth over the United States before touching down in New York to visit friends and family. A panel of lawyers and a retired judge all agreed that the child would become a U.S. citizen but the parents of the children would not be entitled to green cards and/or U.S. citizenship regardless of the child being an automatic U.S. citizen by birth.
Congressman Miller, Mr. Stayman and Sen. Ted Kennedy— I believe that our foreign policy should be decided by the people of the CNMI and that the United States has deceived the local people countless number of times. It is through your deception that has caused havoc with these guest workers giving them hope to cling on to for resident status.
Ironically, it was your esteemed colleague Senator Kennedy who in 1965 vowed to the American public, “Our cities will not be flooded with a million immigrants annually.” About the immigration law that has brought in more than 36 million immigrants with children in the United States today. Of this 36 million people, 20 million are illegal immigrants who have violated the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Law.
