Di Dil Belau women’s organization is celebrating is 20th anniversary this year with a Blue Lights dance event.
Veronica Fox, Vice president of the women’s organization said that the fundraiser slated on March 31 will be a dance party for the 7th and 8th grade students.
She said proceeds of the event will go the scholarship funds being sponsored by the organization.
The Blue Light dance event, she said will be co-sponsored by the Ministry of Health and the Bureau of Public Safety.
She said that this event would ensure parents and kids that they will be safe and chaperoned because of the presence of police officers in the event.
She said the party will also be an alcohol-free event.
The tickets are sold at $2 and schools are also selling the tickets at the schools.
Fox said the event is one of the activities lined up by the organization this year to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
Fox said the organization is also accepting membership from expatriates.
The organization now have 30 members and have been conducting fundraising activities to support students to pursue their studies.
The organization just recently sponsored a Spelling Bee.
The scheduled dance will also hold a dance contest among the elementary school students.
